Curaçao (GCB)
The Curaçao Gaming Control Board is the licensing authority for Curaçao, a popular offshore jurisdiction for online gambling. Most Curaçao licences are issued under a master-licence model, so many brands operate under a single parent permit.
Important for UK players: a Curaçao licence does not permit the operator to offer gambling to customers in Great Britain. Under the Gambling Act 2005, only UKGC-licensed operators may lawfully serve GB customers. In practice this means:
No UK consumer protections: the UKGC complaint route, independent dispute resolution and GAMSTOP self-exclusion do not apply.
Terms, bonuses and withdrawals are only as good as the operator’s willingness to honour them — there is no regulator standing behind you.
Some Curaçao-licensed sites actively accept (or at least do not block) UK players; that is the operator’s risk, not a right you can rely on.
We list Curaçao on a casino’s page only where the site itself displays it. We do not recommend Curaçao-licensed casinos to readers in Great Britain. To check UK-licensed alternatives, see the UKGC public register and our casino reviews.
